South Pacific Electrics is a Vanuatu owned and operated electrical contracting and wholesale business.

South Pacific Electrics commenced operations in Vanuatu on the 19th. Of January 1992.

The company employed 3 staff, a secretary and two tradesmen.

The stock level was approximately AUD$20,000.

The company did not own a vehicle, just a ladder, a drill, one extension lead and a fax machine.

Over the past 14 years, the company has grown to become the leader in the electrical industry in Vanuatu.

The company now boasts a staff level of 54 employees which include an office manager, 7 leading hand electricians, 27 electricians, 10 laborers and 3 shop assistants.

The stock level has grown to approximately AUD$800,000.

The company now owns 8 vehicles, plant and equipment totaling approximately AUD$300,000. and operates an office with network computers, printers, software to suit our industry.

The company now turns over approximately AUD$2,500,000. per annum. And has approximately 80% of the electrical work in Port Vila.

We have a power generation division where we design and install various modes of power generation from solar power, wind generation, uninterrupted power supply systems to petrol and diesel generators.

We have also taken over the maintenance of 90% of the diesel standby generators in Port Vila.

We carry out approximately most of the major electrical contracts in Vanuatu and have a very fine reputation for completing projects on time and with a very high quality finish.

Our support after practical completion based on past projects has been impeccable.

We have also established a fire protection division specializing in the supply and installation of thermal and smoke alarms and emergency evacuation systems. In addition we are installing the only sprinkler system in Vanuatu and also a series of fire suppression gas systems.
